My name is Jarad Johnson. I’m a young designer and entrepreneur living in the midwest. I hold down a stressful, demanding and very rewarding day job at Ethix Studios. I also take on a bit of freelance work, carry on side projects and post articles on this site.

I grew up in a small town located in the Southwest Missouri where I learned very quickly what I did not want to be. My love of vintage clothing and tendency to think outside of the farm didn't allow me to fit in very well.
I strive to add unique character, simplicity, and organization to both design and life. Although my expertise lies in interactive design, I began my career at a national sign company where I learned application of design in a real world setting. After years with organizations I began my freelance career. During this time, I met Departika, a young, beautiful design firm that matched my ambitions, attitude. After nearly 3 years of working with Departika to reach their start-up potential and expand my own professional reach I was offered a partnership opportunity by Ethix Studios.
Instead of sleeping, I engulf myself in hobbies. These include a number of side projects, writing on this site, reading, video games and annoying my lady friend Leah.
