Hello, my name is Jarad Johnson.

I like to make things. Sometimes those things are companies. For the past fifteen years I've been building Mostly Serious —and more recently, Habitat Communication & Culture and MSAI—in the Midwest, where we help leaders of companies solve difficult problems. I am beyond fortunate to work with my business partner, Spencer Harris, and a team of wonderfully talented, dedicated, and kind people.

I spend a good portion of my life trying to be better for the people I love. It's not easy and that's the fun of it. My wife and I have two kids who ensure we live in a constant state of chaos. I like shiny new toys, solving complex problems, and most things that allow me to be hyper competitive in a socially acceptable way.

A friend once described me as having irrational confidence and that felt nice. My wife once pointed out that I look like a young Julia Child and that felt not nice.
